If you play in an online casino that focuses on slots progressive jackpots this is where you will find the gems. For players that are interested in big jackpots for skill games it can be wise to look for casinos that will cater especially to this group of players. Try to find a casino that is offering many different progressives so that there will always be a few jackpots available, just in case one or two have been recently won and set back to zero.

Winning a progressive jackpot

To win a progressive jackpot you must make sure to play by the rules for this sort of prize. First of all, make sure to place the maximum bet on the game. Slots usually have a button called max bet which will ensure that you are in line for the big bucks. To win you will need a lot of luck and you should make sure to keep your gaming sensible so that you are enjoying every round and not stressing about a jackpot you might never end up hitting.

How to Start Your Online Casino Gambling?

Casino

With the advent of online casinos in the world wide web, gambling has never been as popular as this. From its start sometime in 1995, there are numerous casino sites that have breed online. The options are wide, from the minor sites with simple offering to those big time sites which has million of players, luring bonuses and top of the line graphic presentation. All of these aim to entice you to join and enjoy their exciting online casino games. Literally, there are thousands of them out there, posing the difficulty for gamers of which one to choose.

In choosing the best one that will suit you, there are first three steps that you need to do. You can consult a friend who is a casino enthusiast if he has been into online gambling himself. From him you can get idea of what sites he visited and his opinion about each one of them. For additional information, you can check review pages and see for yourself what other people think of a particular site and what their recommendations are. You can also just directly go to a search engine and look for one.

In choosing an online casino, you have to be aware that online casinos are different from each other. There will always be variations on the games that they are offering, competition levels, bonuses and others. Some sites may just use simple graphics while other may use blinking and glittering one. The stakes in each casino also varies. The important thing to bear in mind is to join an online casino which has an excellent customer service support. this is very important especially when you are only a beginner in the online gambling world.

Learning the basic rules before even starting your online casino gambling is a must. The first thing that needs to be considered is the gambling laws in your state. It is worthy to note that each state has a varying laws concerning online gambling. There are actually laws that mandated casinos to ban US players in engaging in gambling in their casinos. You have to be aware of your own state law so that you know if there is a legal impediment in your online gambling.

The next thing to consider is the compatibility of your software. Most of the providers of Canadian online casinos require their customers to download the software they provided before they can even be allowed to play. As a customer, before even deciding to download, you should always verify if that specific software is compatible with your computer unit. Otherwise, it would just be worthless.

Once you have successfully downloaded compatible software, you have to know the rules and regulation of the online casino. Beware that the terms and conditions imposed are different for each online casino. Knowing this is very important especially when you are living in a state whose law on gambling is quite ambiguous. It is also very important that you know their rules concerning the making of deposit, so that you are aware if you will be able to comply with it. there are also numerous bonuses that each online casino is offering. Although these are luring offers, be mindful because they usually come with different requirements.

Paradise Poker in Local Casino

Casino

I went down to my local casino this past weekend to play in the mini hold’em tourney. I had paid already and then the players voted to play Omaha Hi. I have only played a few times but decided to give it a shot. Suffice to say, I was out in about 40 minutes. I need to do some reading up. Are there any suggestions? Is Paradise a good place for practice? Marijuana Seeds Canada.

Answer 1:

Paradise poker is okay if you want to practice reading boards and seeing how your hand compares to the nuts, e.t.c – all the basic stuff It won’t help you much in terms of the betting that goes on and it may even harm your play if you follow the tactics of people at the play money tables. Read Bob Ciaffone’s book, that has everything you need for Omaha high.

Answer 2:

Ciaffone is good, but I wouldn’t rely on one book. Game is very twisty, and requires a great deal of patience and study. If you want to play at PP, don’t go with PLAY games, start at low limit — 2 4, and be extremely careful. There was a good post recently covering a nice starting hand strategy, unfortunately, can’t find it, but you can go into archives. Be especially careful about high hand selection. Playing a court pair with little going for it otherwise is a waste of money, aside from AA, and even then, without a good low or high side card, preferably suited, you can get into big trouble. Nuts are often going to be out there on both ends. Don’t play A 4 or A 5 with little else going on, especially unsuited. Remember that the object of the game is always to scoop scoop. You can play no hands except blinds for many hands, do nothing at all, and then scoop one big hand, which makes the whole evening worthwhile. Don’t waste chips on hope, when nothing backs up the hope. Remember that lows are frequently duplicated, and often counterfeited.

Term String Rising In Casino

Casino

What is string-raising and why is it usually not allowed?

Answer 1:

String-raising is when you put the money in to call and then put more in to raise without calling anything. I think this is not allowed because players behind you will act upon your first move and it would be unfair to be able to see a caller behind you and then raise. If you say “RAISE”, then you can basically put the money in one chip at a time if you care, although you may get your ass kicked for slowing down the game. For example, if you are playing 5-10 HE, and you put a $5 chip past your cards…that is IT…that is your call…you can not raise after that. If you do, it is a string bet. In the movies, you sometime see people say, “I’ll see your $5 and raise you $5″…that is not allowed in casinos…once you say I’ll see your $5, that is it…no raising.

Answer 2:

The other reason is that the string-raiser may be making his raise conditional on the reactions he picks up. Generally, you’re required to make unambiguous moves, the string-raise and overvalued chip rules are added to enforce this. Once you make your move then you are allowed to read your opponents.

Answer 3:

However, a “reverse” string-raise is legal. This is where you pick up enough chips to raise, place your hand full of chips out in front of you, check the reaction of others, and then either leave just enough chip out there to call or raise, depending on the reaction you get. Never have understood why the string-raise is illegal, but the “reverse” string-raise is not.

Question on Hi-Low Omaha Casino

Casino

Ok here is my question on Hi-Low Omaha. On the board there is:
4S 6S 10S QS 2H (S = Spades / H = Hearts)
Now I know that you have to use to 2 cards for the Hi and 2 for the Low. Sine there is 4 Spades on the board and I have the “nut” Spade (Ace of Spades) could I use that wuth any other card and have a FLUSH? Meaning – Ace of Spades with 10 of Hearts? Or do I still need 2 Spades for the Flush?

Answer 1:

You must have two spades in your hand to go along with three on the board. A-x of spades would give you the nut flush. If you have A-3 of spades you would have the nut flush and the nut low with the two cards…you could also play three different cards i.e. AS 3H and 9S to make the two nut hands!!

Answer 2:

From a strictly technical standpoint, you do need two genuine certified spades in your own hand to make the flush — and in actual practice, you will not likely be able to successfully ‘pass’ the 10h as a spade (although Badger did manage to pull this off
in one legendary move back in ’92) — better to try it with a club, which at least is the right black color (unless you are playing with the notorious.

Answer 3:

You have to use two cards from your hand and can only use three from the board. The fourth spade on the board does not change this requirement. You must have two spades in hand to make a flush in this example.

Play Poker Online Safely

Casino

I have been in and around poker a long time and still don’t understand what a kill pot is…can someone explain it to me?

Answer 1:

I’ve never played a kill game in my life. Not a one. And yet I know exactly what one is and could explain it totally thoroughly, simply because no one bothers to read previous threads, or do simple Deja/Remarq searches, and the question is asked and answered roughly every 32 hours, 19 minutes, 44 seconds (one standard deviation = 6:01:39). Do a search. Read the FAQ. Please, just make some sort of effort to find out. If you really can’t find anything, then ask. We’ll be happy to help then.

Answer 2:

No, I never understood either but was too shy to ask. Something about doubling the blinds if the pot is scooped. Most of the people who post on this group are pretty nice and doubtless one will explain in more detail.

Answer 3:

If you a playing a game with a “kill”, then a particular outcome on one hand will cause the next hand to be a “kill” pot. If you are playing a high/low game like Omaha 8 or better, the “kill” is usually triggered when one person scoops the entire pot. In high only games like hold’em, the “kill” is usually triggered when the same person drags 2 pots in a row. When the “kill” is activated, two things happen:
a). The betting limits for the next hand increase. If a “full kill” is being used, then the limits are double what they would have been without the kill. If a “half kill” is being used, then the limits are 1.5 times the usual. Example, in a 4-8 Omaha game with a full kill, the betting limits on the kill pot would be 8-16. If a half kill was used, then the betting limits would be 6-12.
b). The person who “scooped” or otherwise caused the kill to be active receives the “kill” button from the dealer, and is required to post the amount one small bet ( at the new “kill” limit ) in the blind before receiving his cards. The small and big blinds still have to post their normal amounts (i.e. before the kill), but would have to add additional chips to call the bet of the person with the kill button. Examples, 4-8 Omaha 8/B (2 and 4 blinds) with a 1/2 kill. Suppose that the button is on seat 9 and player on seat 5 scoops the pot. On the next hand, the button moves to seat 10. Player 5 gets the kill button. Player 1 posts $2 for the small blind, and Player 2 posts $4 for the big blind. Player 5 posts $6 for the “kill”, and action starts with Player 3 under the gun ( $6 to call or $12 to raise ). Assuming that the pot hasn’t been raised, when action gets to player 5 he can either check (since his $6 is already a live bet) or raise an additional $6. If the pot hasn’t been raised by the time actions gets back to the small blind, he can either fold, put out an additional $4 to call, or an additional $10 to raise. Big blind can either fold, put out an additional $2 to call or $8 more to raise, since he already has $4 out. Play proceeds normally at the 6-12 limits until completion of the hand. If no one scoops, then limits go back to the 4-8 level on the next hand. If the “killer” happens to be the small or big blind, then the “kill” posting is usually instead of the blind ( i.e. you don’t have to put up both the blind and the kill amount, just the kill amount )…
